Rite of Passage

First aired: 01/23/1995 USA

Peter had an interesting first meeting with the new captain, a self-confident, no nonsense woman named Karen Simms. They have a clash in the precinct parking lot. But this isn't his only problem. His father is summonded to help the monks of Shambhala, a peaceful kingdom known by the Buddhists. They have to defend their realm against the Dark Warrior, an evil force. If Caine succeeds he'll also become a Shambhala Master. Peter comes in time to see his father and the monks vanish through a wall. While searching for his father, Peter finds Bon Bon Hai at the Ancient's home and they both disappear into the Book of Shambhala. Like his father, Peter ends up in Shambhala and has to conquer the Dark Warrior in a fight to the death.

Plague

First aired: 01/30/1995 USA

A deadly flulike illness has overcome the inhabitants of the city. Hundreds of thousands of people are already ill. Peter and his coworkers become ill as well. Caine and the Ancient are desperately looking for a cure and work day and night. Meanwhile Kermit finds out who’s behind the epidemic. When the mayor receives a ransom demand, Caine is chosen to deliver the money. He, Peter and Kermit set off to track down the villain.

May I walk with you

After Caine had accompanied Peter at work one day, Peter decides it's time to spend a day with his father, too, to get to know him better. As it is, nothing goes as planned. All hell breaks loose at the precinct and Caine has problems with one of his students, a young woman who is having marital problems. She becomes afraid of her husband and Caine is trying to help them reconcile.

The return of Sing Ling

First aired: 02/13/1995 USA

Young Sing Ling, true emperor of China, lives hidden in Chinatown. Though he doesn’t have a chance to accede to the throne, he has to pass an important test to prove that he's worthy. In a destroyed temple in China, Sing Ling has to put in the 'lost pearl' in the third eye of a statue of Buddha. Caine and Peter, who's on suspension, accompany him. Though the arrival of the young man is kept a secret, Chinese's intelligence finds out. While Caine and Sing Ling perform the ceremony, Peter is captured by the soldiers who torture him to find out Sing Ling’s whereabouts.

Manhunt

First aired: 02/20/1995 USA

The night Peter wants to ask his girlfriend, Rebecca, to marry him she picks a fight with him in public and leaves him. The next night, Rebecca is found murdered. Since incriminating evidence against Peter is found and Peter doesn't have an alibi, he's arrested for murder. To prove his innocence he becomes a fugitive and is pursued by the FBI and the police. Now it is a race against time to find the real murderer.

Gunfighters

In 1906 Caine's grandfather Kwai Chang Caine comes to a Wild West town without law and order. He gets involved with a down-and-dirty outlaw and is shot. The Caine from the past travels to the present to ask his grandson for help. The current Caine travels to the past to save his grandparents. While Caine fights for his grandfather, Peter fears for his life, not knowing that the injured man, who came to the precinct, in fact is his great-grandfather.

The Chinatown murder mystery: The case of the poisoned hand

First aired: 04/24/1995 USA

Doctor Rick Parker disappears without a trace and his wife Melanie asks Caine for help. His inquiries show that two of Parker’s collegues mysteriously passed away recently. Caine once again remembers an event from the past and is sure that the colleagues' lifeforce, their 'chi', was poisened. When Parker meets with his wife, the “poison hand” strikes again. To save Parker, Caine absorbs the poison into his own body. With Kermit's help Peter tries to find his father before it's too late.

Target

First aired: 05/01/1995 USA

During his childhood in the temple, Peter got under the mental influence of a Brujo. Now, years later, the sorcerer comes back. With the help of a drug, the Brujo kidnaps Peter and once again takes control over the detective’s mind. Using hypnosis he tells Peter to kill the South American politician Enrique Campos as soon as Campos uses his lighter. When Peter wakes up the next morning, sitting on a park bench, he is disoriented and can’t remember anything. Nonetheless, he takes over his assignment to protect Enrique Campos. To get Peter even closer to Campos, the Brujo has someone attempt an assassination and Campos wants Peter as his personal bodyguard. Caine realizes that something is wrong with his son and tries to find the Brujo, before Peter actually kills the politician and thereby destroys his life and soul.

Citizen Caine

First aired: 12/01/1995 USA

A building tycoon who doesn't know any scruples tries to drive away poor tenants out of a quarter in order to redevelop the whole area. City councillor Carmel, turning openly against the people who control the building trade, is murdered only a short time later. The people of the quarter urge Caine, who shortly before helped to prevent an eviction, to run for the city council. Since the criminals are not able to prevent Caine’s election, they try other ways and means.

Quake

First aired: 05/15/1995 USA

Caine feels that a serious earthquake is about to come, but nobody wants to believe him. Even the Institute for Seismology doesn't take him serious. Soon after that, the earth begins to tremble and chaos breaks out. This has consequences for Peter and Jody, too - they have just arrested Paulsen and a correct handing-over is impossible now. In addition to that, Kermit and Captain Simms are stuck in an elevator and in the 101st precinct a gas main explodes.

Goodbye, Mr. Caine

The "Roosevelt High School" is terrorised by a student called Mackie and his gang. During a basketball match, an undercover cop gets stabbed. After that, Peter, pretending to be a sports teacher, starts to investigate. He finds out that Mackie is controlled by some local mafia bosses. As one of the female teachers quits, Caine takes her class over. And then Mackie takes a young student of Caine to blackmail his brother into playing not too good at the next basketball match.

The sacred Chalice of I-Ching

First aired: 07/03/1995 USA

After thieves had tried to steal the diary of Peter's grandfather, Peter and his father discover a map hidden in the cover of the diary. This map, and a suddenly appearing visitor, give them information about a sacred chalice, once given to Jesus by some Shaolin monks. Crusaders later on took this chalice to France. Caine and his son set out for France, too - but they are not the only ones: a gang of old Nazis and French collaborateurs are also looking for the chalice. Caine and Peter are very busy to forestall the criminals and to protect the chalice. And then Caine has a very special surprise - he meets his father who was presumed to be death.

Eye Witness

First aired: 07/24/1995 USA

Peter Caine receives a special order: for one weekend he has to protect Corrigan, an important witness. As their hiding place is attacked and Corrigan is injured, they both have to flee. They find shelter with Peter's father, who knows Corrigan from the old days and who thinks that Corrigan is responsible for the death of a young lawyer, Anne Carter Pendleton. Anne was Caine's friend and boss. When they are attacked again, Caine sends his son away. Peter and Corrigan go to Blaisdell's cabin - where is Peter's pregnant sister Caroline who intentionally has revealed Peter's whereabouts by giving the precinct a telephone call.

Demons

Kermit's sister Marilyn has moved to an old building which is haunted by demons - so Kermit asks Caine for help. Peter and Caine set out to help Kermit and his sister. And indeed - very strange things are happening there. Caine finds out that years ago a family tragedy must have taken place in that house. And besides those supernatural activities the Caines notice that the house is equipped with technical tricks. Somebody wants the inhabitants to leave the house - by all means.

Deadly Fashion

First aired: 10/09/1995

The talented fashion designer and former Shaolin monk Bernie suffers from a strong inferiority complex. At his own fashion shows he always pretends to be the checkroom attendent and the marketing of his products he has left to the dubious Lo Chi. So he asks Caine to play the role of the famous fashion designer for one evening and Caine agrees. As star model Alana is threatened with murder several times, it is Peter's job to be her bodyguard. It turns out that Lo Chi belongs to a murderous secret society. Caine helps his son to eliminate the "Scorpions".

Cruise Missiles

Donnie Double D, Peter's snitch and friend, gets married and asks Peter to be his best man. The wedding takes place at a luxury liner and among the guests are Peter, Caine and half of the 101st. The party is rudely interrupted when gangsters capture the ship. They have stolen two cruise missiles and want to sell them to the Soviets. To intimidate the people on board, the leader of the gangsters makes the missiles ready to fire. A race against time begins.

The Promise

First aired: 10/23/1995 USA

A gallery is robbed when Peter happens to come along. To his surprise, Peter notices a portrait of his father. When he shows the portrait to his father, Caine recalls a promise he once gave to the paintress. Of course, he immediately starts for Altamount where the paintress, Theresa, now lives with her husband. Caine arrives just at the right moment. A clan of criminals and the corrupt police, for some mysterious reasons, try to chase the couple out of town. Peter follows his father, and this time he is the one to help his father fighting the crime.

Flying Fists of Fury 2 aka Masters of Illusion

A film crew is in town to shoot a martial arts movie featuring star actor Wolf Gannet. Caine happens to be there and interferes in the shooting - believing to beat off an attack against his son. Quickly, he realizes that the attacked person is not Peter but actor Wolf, who looks very much like Peter. After several attacks against the film crew, director Bela, who has already engaged Caine as technical adviser, asks for Peter as a double for Wolf Gannet. Only a short time later a stuntman disappears during a fake fight - Peter suspects insurance fraud whereas Caine keeps a more mystical track.

Banker's House

First aired: 11/06/1995 USA

A bank is robbed just as Captain Simms happens to be there. The bank robbers take the employees and the clients of the bank, among them Caine, as hostage. While the gangsters try to crack the computer code of the vault, the bank is surrounded by the police. The officer in charge is trigger-happy Captain Lasher. Peter interferes and with the help of doctor Sabourin he gets into the bank disguised as a paramedic. Meanwhile inside, Caine and Captain Simms are waiting to take action.

Kung Fu Blues

Caine is walking with Peter through Chinatown as he hears a familiar sound. He follows the music and meets an old friend, blues guitarist Sugar Williams. Things went badly for him the last years - he now works as assistant in the same nightclub where his daughter sings. Maria is totally under the influence of her producer Lance Deverell, who exploits her without mercy. Father and son Caine decide to help them. When Caine stands in for an injured musician, Peter again learns something new about his father: he also is a talented musician.

Brotherhood of the Bell

When Caine suddenly vanishes, Peter goes to see the venerable Lo Si who tells him that Caine has gone to fight a battle he can't escape. Peter ignores Lo Si's warning and tries to find his father. He gets unexpected help from Martin Bradshaw, a so far unknown half-brother of Caine. Peter finds out that his father tries to stop the Brotherhood of the Bell - people who try to concentrate their negative energies in order to gain power over the world. The leader of this gang is no less a man than Damon Caine, another half-brother of Caine who has devoed oneself to the evil. Peter and Uncle Martin try everything to free Kwai Chang Caine from his brother.

Destiny

Peter's having a crisis. In spite of his successful work, he thinks there is no point in going on as a police officer. He decides to finish his education as Shaolin priest, hoping to find his vocation. Together with his father and Lo Si he goes to a Shaolin temple in the north where Master Kwan teaches. When they arrive, Caine immediately perceives the presence of something evil. And indeed, one of Kwan's disciples has allied with the dangerous Sing Wah.
